Arden Gild Hall – 2126 The Highway, Arden, DE 19810
Driving Directions to the Gild Hall
The Ardensingers are a community theater group in the Utopian, Arts and Crafts, Single-Tax, Garden-City community of Arden, Delaware, just off I-95, ~6 miles north of Wilmington. We’ve been performing the works of Gilbert & Sullivan for over 65 years at our historic Gild Hall location. Gilbert’s themes and humor are timeless, and Sullivan’s music will send you home humming.
We generally do two shows per year, in the Spring and Fall, with the Spring show being one of the Gilbert & Sullivan operettas.
Our performers are unpaid. Casting of lead roles is by open audition. Auditions for the Chorus may be formal or informal. At the present time, we’re actively recruiting new Chorus members, ages 16 and over. Younger children may be considered, particularly if a parent is involved in the show.
Our Stage and Music Directors are paid (modestly). We do work with a variety of Stage Directors, and we welcome expressions of interest from prospective Stage Directors.
We have occasional openings in our Orchestra (unpaid), and for rehearsal accompanists (paid).
