May 4 & 11, 2025 at 2pm
at the Arden Gild Hall

Stage Director: Sean O’Donnell

A comedic romp set in the Irish countryside with redcoats, rebels, star-crossed lovers, charlatans, and the mysterious fairy Cleena! The Emerald Isle contains some of Sullivan’s most beautiful music as well as gorgeous contributions from Edward German (who completed the score following Sullivan’s death), with a libretto by Basil Hood.

Terence O’Brien, an Irish patriot, is in love with the Lady Rosie, daughter of the Lord Lieutenant, the agent of English oppression.  Can the ‘Clan-na-Gael’ (society of Irish patriots) escape the attention of the Lieutenant, and is there any hope for the love of Terence and Rosie?  Maybe … come to the show and find out!

Fall 2025 Show
Portrait of a Young Woman
November 2025
at the Arden Gild Hall

Libretto by Selena E. Molina

A historical fiction based upon Italian painter Parmigianino’s “Portrait of a Young Woman”, set during the Renaissance and featuring madrigal music of the time period.

Spring 2026 Show
The Pirettes of Penzance
April 2026
at the Arden Gild Hall

Libretto: W.S. Gilbert / Robert Beavins
Music: Arthur Sullivan

Why should the men get all the good roles in Gilbert & Sullivan productions?  Pirettes was first performed by the Ardensingers in 2010.  You won’t want to miss this upcoming production, where the women get to be pirates and policemen, and the men are wards of Major General Stanley!  Great fun!  Mr. Beavins’ adaptation of The Pirates of Penzance retains all the wonderful Sullivan music with only minor changes to Gilbert’s dialog.
